Happy New Year.
It's now officially 2026 and I am sure many of you are keen to kick off the New Year again in the right waty - with Pickleball.
The 2026 season will return on Sunday 11th January at our regular 10am time slot. We haven't moved the start time this year because the weather really hasn't been that supportive of the idea, so we will continue and not confuse anyone for now.
This week is a big one, we will see our first ever Coaching Clinic, which will be run by Spin Pro Coaching, and for a small idea that we were able to announce at the closure of 2025, we have had a good number of registrations. With the success of this, we hope to be able to provide more clinics run by Fabian and his coaching team in 2026, and hope to see those who have come along in this round, return, and many of you also booking in so you can see why the others have upped their games.
2026 comes with big plans, and we hope you can all help us deliver.
There are tournaments on the horizon, in March, April and May that I would love to support many of you to attend again.
March will see the Big Chill in the ACT. This is running from 20th to 23rd March and is close enought to dip your toes and test out your skills and try new partner combinations, play against different players and form a closer bond with many of the Goulburn Pickleball crew who are also taking up the Tournament Challenges.
April is the NSW Pickleball Championships 16 to 19 April, and we hope that we can be organised enough with lots of participants and supporters to go along and make a weekend of it for everyone. Stay tuned for more details as we work them out.
May is the Australian Masters in Sydney 9th to 10th May. More details and discussion will come with this one, but it's also an opportunity for those who fall into the Masters category. This IS different to the Masters Games, but still an exciting chance to play more competitive Pickleball.
Registrations for our first session of 2026 will open on 3rd January and we look forward to seeing you back on the courts with us soon.
